To complement our timber frame products, Frame Wise offers Engineered Wood Products (EWP) for sustainable floor and roof solutions. Discover just some of the benefits of EWP: Fast Installation: Long lengths, clear spans, lightweight, less material, greater centres and fewer connections. Easy Services: Metal-Web Joists have an open web design and the I-Joists have pre-formed knockout holes with the ability of cutting larger service holes where required. Both systems allowing easy installation of services. Quality Assured: Clean, consistent and reliable products every time and BBA approved. Site Trimming: All joists can be supplied to the job precision cut to correct length or over length joists can be supplied for site trimming. Stiff and Strong: Quiet, flat floors and ceilings Roofs & Beams: All joists and beams can be used in roof applications, even removing the requirement of steels. Improved Sound & Vibration: Our engineered floors conform to the EC5 requirement for reduced sound and vibration. Both our I-Joist and Metal Web systems are favoured by builders for their sustainable credentials, cost-efficiency and versatility compared with traditional systems. Glulam is an attractive finished solution, with properties which make it popular in the construction of schools and swimming pools. Frame Wise works in partnership with Boise Cascade, whose products have been approved for use in the UK by the BBA and TRADA. Frame Wise trusts Boise Cascade high-quality BBA and TRADA approved SIMPLE FRAMING SYSTEM® for use in ground floor, intermediate floor, roof and general building applications. The system is a successful combination of: Frame Wise recommends Mitek Posi-Joist™, which combines lightweight timber with the strength of the Posi-Strut steel web, as a lightweight alternative to steel or concrete which eliminates the need for load bearing intermediate walls. Mitek Posi-Joist™ allows you to span far greater distances than would be possible with alternative timber products. This property gives you unequalled design freedom across a wide range of applications for both floor and roof in domestic, industrial and commercial applications. Can be used for flooring and both pitched and flat roofs. Glulam is a natural, lightweight alternative to steel. Made by gluing together thin laminates of timber. Glulam has all the strength and flexibility of timber but it can be manufactured to span much greater distances. Attractive in appearance and available in a wide range of standard sizes as well as made to measure curved shapes, Glulam is fire and chemical resistant, properties which have seen it used widely in schools and swimming pools.
