2008 sees Frame Wise celebrating its belated 10th birthday. Frame Wise started as a Timber Frame Erecting company set up by current MD Simon Orrells, who himself worked on the tools on sites with the lads to gain his experience erecting for some of the Top Timber Frame Manufacturers in the UK building up to in excess of twelve number three + four man crews by late 2002 erecting Care Homes, Self Builds and Travel Lodges etc, even erecting out in Germany and Channel Isles.

January 2003 saw Frame Wise move into the manufacturing market in a small way but with the same drive and ambition that Mr. Simon Orrells used when setting up the erecting side. Key drivers were giving the customer what they want, when they want it. Environmental Sustainable issues were key and Flexibility.

These drivers saw Frame Wise flourish early on, no job to small from extensions to self builds. By 2004 saw Frame Wise purchase a New Factory to put the production in approx. 20,000 sq ft which then meant we had more scope for volumes, which helped to secure repeat work and give a steady work load to the staff.

Later that year saw Frame Wise step into the School Market with a New School in the Midlands for secondary pupils, this was a good move and gave us a good grounding in this market. We managed to erect the School start to finish of the Timber Frame Structure in eight weeks starting last week of November through to the first week of February, which was the worst month of the year with wet, frosty weather and short days. The Client saw big benefits from using Timber Frame.

2005 saw us spread our wings across the country with national service supplying small to medium size developers with three more schools.

2006 saw Frame Wise push its boundaries with a seven storey project for a client who normally only builds traditional. But this project needed to be Timber Frame due to timescales and site restrictions and very poor access, with one elevation that could not even be scaffolded and saw us build and erect from inside and tower crane out complete finished panels with brick slips and windows in finish.

2007 saw more medium rise projects and maintaining a good market share of the self build market, it also saw up build the Timber Frame module at the initiative SCAT Collage in Taunton

Also saw us branching out more down south and over the small stretch of water to the Isle of Wight.

We also built two number Luxury rent houses on top of an existents 5 story building in Birmingham.

So as you can see we have been busy and team at Frame Wise have a lot to be proud of and welcome the celebration which will have a few events to mark the occasion in April this year.
