A very busy 2 days was seen at the Ricoh Arena, in Coventry last week for the first Timber Expo show. We secured a very prominent place in the exhibition hall with a life size exhibit of a 1½ storey Timber Frame structure, showing all our different systems and products.  Footfall was good and has provided an excellent platform to build on for next year.  Interestingly the Frame Wise Ltd Timber Talks theatre we built was full for every presentation over the 2 days which was good news and showed a very positive interest for the timber industry.

We hosted a breakfast morning on the Wednesday which was well attended by clients, contractors and architects, to keep abreast of what we are doing and to see the launch of the new “Wyse Wall Solution” from Frame Wise. Developed for future markets, the new system enables us to close the issue of an emerging performance gap between what is designed or specified and what is actually installed, giving the end user the confidence that the building is performing as it should.  Committed to delivering system solutions to lighten the role on site, the new “Wyse Walls” also offer significant savings in terms of time, whilst still providing a cost effective, high performance building fabric.

A lot of interest was also shown in our engineered wood offering to the Traditional house builder and alternative building systems market.  With a design, cut and supply service on a nationwide basis, for I joists, metal web joists and Glulam products for floors and roof applications we are well placed to meet any clients specific needs.  Again all products were on show in the theatre for all to see throughout the 2 days.
